My Areas of Research
Sensitivity assessment through the analysis of the central nervous system and the autonomic nervous system
When it comes to developments in engineering, technologies expressed by the words “small,” “light,” and “fast” are at the forefront. However, considering today's environmental problems, the decrease in Japan's population, and our aging society, engineering that is human-friendly is sought as a way to develop a sustainable society. Thus, advances in engineering technologies that offer peace of mind, safety, comfort, health, and utility are required. At this research lab, we investigate methods of evaluating the comfort of human beings necessary for such advancements in engineering technologies. It is research that is connected to health preservation and improvements in presymptomatic diseases.
My Teaching Philosophy
I educate and support research so that students can voluntarily learn based on their own interests in order to become familiar with physiology, the fundamental field of life sciences and neuroscience. My goal is to provide an education so that, after graduation, students can apply their knowledge to a variety of fields and contribute to the world and regional society.
