Profile

March 2000 Graduated from Graduate School of Osaka University

My Areas of Research

High functionalization and soundness evaluation of welded joints

We are clarifing from mainly the viewpoint of material engineering about the mchanizm of damage in welded joints which is likely to become a starting point of damage in many important structures. And we are studying methods for securing the soundness of welded joints (improvement of welding process, improvement of nondestructive evaluation). Also, We address the development of welding and joining technology for high functionalization of dissimilar welded joints, and development of grain refinement technology for weld metal to improve the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of weld metal .

My Teaching Philosophy

I would like you to know the pleasures of "manufacturing" through welding and joining engineering. Also, however there are many technical problems in "manufacturing", I am educating students to learn basic attitude and knowledge to solve.
