My Areas of Research

The structures and functions of neurological function elements

The ρ3 subunits of the GABA receptors, a type of channel-linked receptor, were discovered, which led to the clarification of their channel functions and optic pathways. We are now researching the collective mechanism of the subunits at the protein level. We are also searching for and researching proteins with unknown functions, which may be necessary for neurological functions, through genetic information processing. We discover the proteins needed for the release of neurotransmitters in synapses, and research their functions.

My Teaching Philosophy

My biological science courses have a variety of topics in them so students can consider and study what academic information and abilities they need for themselves. I place an emphasis on students being able to think, reason, and act for themselves in graduate research.
