To realize this philosophy, we established the Soft-Path Engineering Research Center (SPERC) in 2011, which consists of three fields: \u201cSafety and Security,\u201d \u201cFuture Engineering,\u201d and \u201cNew Materials and Energy.sophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the understanding that the earth is finite, the center has been working on technological issues such as the development of high-functional materials with less environmental impact, new material evaluation technology, development of material processes, construction of welfare systems based on life and biomedical engineering, and construction of advanced information systems, in order to promote the realization of soft-path engineering. The center has been active as a research organization to promote the realization of soft-path engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2015, in addition to the Global Research Promotion Division, a new Innovation Creation Research Division was established to undertake ambitious research projects related to robotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this center, faculty members affiliated with the center will conduct practical research by raising the level of research under the philosophy of soft-path engineering, while at the same time deepening synergies among research fields and collaboration with society. This is a center for research and development that integrates and combines the research and development of die-molds, casting, and devices. We develop disaster prevention and disaster management methods by utilizing the network of industry, academia, government and residents.
