In April 2009, Iwate University integrated its graduate school’s Master’s and Master’s programs to establish the Graduate School of Integrated Arts and Sciences (Master’s Program). Based on expertise in the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences, the Graduate School of Integrated Arts and Sciences (GSIS) fosters human resources who can create new value with a broad perspective that transcends the boundaries of the humanities and sciences, and who can contribute to solving problems in local communities and on a global scale toward the realization of a sustainable society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Science and Engineering, Graduate School of Integrated Arts and Sciences, fosters human resources who have acquired the necessary background to initiate innovation in the field of science and engineering through education and research that integrates engineering and science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
