Research Themes
Applications of Visual Information Analysis in Medical and Industrial Fields
There is a saying, "Seeing is believing." Humans perceive the world through vision, process it with the brain, and take actions based on their understanding. Our research aims to replicate this process in computers. We develop technologies that enable computers to accurately interpret visual information from images and videos, ultimately improving people's lives. For example, we focus on supporting remote healthcare through medical image analysis and creating systems for detecting anomalies in industrial products.
Teaching Philosophy
We provide a foundation in computer science, including programming and image processing techniques. By cultivating logical thinking for problem-solving, practical application skills, and ethical awareness, we aim to develop professionals who can leverage cutting-edge technologies to contribute to the global advancement of science and technology.
