Research Themes
Development of human-centered mechanical systems engineering technologies
My research focuses on developing mechanical systems engineering technologies that truly support independent living for people who face difficulties with daily movements. Examples include analyzing the characteristics of essential everyday actions such as handwriting and walking, developing methods to evaluate physical burden and ease of use, and designing assistive devices and support tools tailored to individual users.
Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is to cultivate students who not only learn engineering knowledge and skills, but also can understand the challenges faced by people with difficulties in daily life from an engineering perspective, and independently think about how to apply engineering to solving problems in society and people's lives.
