Research Themes

The fabrication, evaluation, and application of microwave band magnetic composites

I attempt to use radio waves not only for high-speed communication, but also sensing and power transmission, in order to realize a smart information-communication society. We research magnetic composites with dielectric properties and magnetic properties in the high-frequency band, as well as their applicable devices. One of these applications is the use of wood-plastic as the base material in radio wave absorbers, which can be installed without discomfort even in spaces where there is radio interference. My aim is to develop radio wave absorbers in which the interior and exterior materials are integrated.

Teaching Philosophy

The fields of electromagnetic waves and magnets are prevalent in many different products in the world, but their phenomena go unnoticed and are difficult to understand. I would like for students to understand them and develop specialized knowledge through the creation, assessment, and analysis of devices.
