Research Themes
Pursuit and elucidation of novel material properties under extraordinary environment
In extreme conditions, where the temperature, pressure, and magnetic fields are far from ordinary, even a familiar material can show unexpected behavior that we have never imagined before. I aim to discover new phases of matter and physical properties using original measurement techniques and understand the principles behind them. To achieve this end, I work on synthesizing target materials, developing unique measurement techniques, and numerical simulations to understand the experimental results.

Teaching Philosophy
Through experiments in condensed matter physics, I aim to provide education that helps students acquire a scientific way of thinking, and the ability to identify problems and logically propose solutions. I believe these abilities are universally important no matter what field the students will go into. We welcome all students who are interested in the infinitely free and wide world of research.
