Whole genome analysis of the brain-eating amoeba N. fowleri
Analysis of the BLUF-containing proteins encoded by the pathogenic amoebae Naegleria fowleri.
Whole genome analysis of N. fowleri showed that it encodes two BLUF-containing proteins, suggesting that the pathogenic organism exhibits a photoresponse. Analysis of photoresponse has not been conducted for N. fowleri, but we should start such an investigation for public health prevention.
