Research Themes

The development of electrocatalysts for fuel cells and next-generation secondary batteries

I research fuel cells and metal/air secondary batteries in order to lower the burden on the environment through efficient energy conversion. I maximize the degree of alloying of Pt-Ru alloy catalysts used in home fuel cells and energy-farms. I also research charging and discharging at theoretical values using RP perovskite oxide in air electrodes for metal and air secondary batteries that have large energy capacities for use in next-generation electric vehicles.

Teaching Philosophy

My goal is for students to acquire the standard fundamental knowledge of physical chemistry using the international standard textbooks. For electrochemistry research, I educate students so that they can present at authoritative international conferences and publish in international journals.
