Research Themes

The search for new rare-earth compounds exhibiting novel quantum phenomena and functionalities.

Rare-earth elements possess the magnetic, orbital, and valence degrees of freedoms due to the partially filled 4f orbital. We try to develop new rare-earth materials to search intriguing quantum phenomena such as novel superconductivity and magnetism arising from the above degrees of freedoms. In addition, we aim to develop functional magnetic materials by using our findings.

Teaching Philosophy

I aim to cultivate students who acquire the ability to discover and resolve problems independently as well as the fundermental knowledge of physics.
